Temporary Warmth
Sometimes she comes to me in my dreams,
spectral visions and astral planes, the situations differ
but the message is always the same
She looks at me with deep, forceful-green eyes
Her hair blinds me
The light reflected and refracted through her hair rivals any man-made device
Her smile is coy, playful
But in my dreams, shes more than a beautiful-exterior
Her heart shines through more
In this state, a simple embrace means more than the waking world over
Her body language speaks to me a thousand words a minute,
its difficult to keep pace
My heart pounds again, i am still in REM
And she is still adjacent to me
Asleep and Awake
I wish i could reap the eternal elation that she breeds
I have a hunger that no one but her can feed
And in the pursuit of happiness, we are all guilty of greed
What do i have to do, if you visit, you must have a need
Willing to travel that path until all corners of my epidermis bleed
